From standing at the brink of Victoria Falls on the raging Zambezi River to experiencing the migration of millions of animals on the great Serengeti, this will be the safari of a lifetime. While trekking through Africa's most famous game viewing areas we'll be staying in truly lavish tented camps and lodges. Game drives, gourmet dining, hot showers, and mid-day bridge galore.

  Arrive in South Africa to get over jet lag and rest for one night.

Day 3 Johannesburg / Victoria Falls
  We'll fly on to breathtaking Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Tonight join your fellow safari members and Mr. Theurkauf for a Welcome Dinner.

Today we tour Victoria Falls and cross the raging Zambezi River into Zambia. Tonight, we'll take a sunset cruise and enjoy a Boma dinner with local entertainment.

Day 5 Victoria Falls / Chobe
  Our safari begins as we enter Botswana and drive to Chobe National Park. Afternoon GAME DRIVE.

Day 6 Chobe National Park
  Chobe National Park contains the largest concentration of elephants in all of Africa, as well as many other species of animals. Morning and afternoon GAME DRIVES.

 Mid-day duplicate by the Chobe River. Watching wildlife will help your game.
Day 7 Chobe / Okavango Delta
  Today our group will be divided in half and travel by aircraft, 4-wheel drive, and boat, to Camp Moremi and Camp Okavango. Each camp can accommodate 22 adventurers and are many miles apart.

Day 8 Okavango Delta Day 1
  After two exciting, yet peaceful days at one camp, we depart by boat, reaching our "new" luxury camp where we'll have two very new, different and adventurous days.

Day 9 Okavango Delta Day 2

  Today we venture by plane Maun where our group is reunited. We'll then fly to Johannesburg, South Africa.

Day 12 Johannesburg / Nairobi
 


The world's tallest animal
On to Nairobi, Kenya, where we'll relax and prepare for the safari ahead of us.

 This evening, we are guests of the Kenyan Bridge Association for dinner and duplicate.
Day 13 Nairobi
  After lunch at the Nairobi Jockey Club, we'll visit the estate of Karen Blixen. Tonight, enjoy a feast, at the Carnivore Restaurant and sample zebra, impala, ostrich or crocodile.

Day 14 Nairobi / Lake Manyara
  On to Tanzania, we land in Arusha where there are magnificent views of Mt. Kilimanjaro. After a stop at the Maasai cultural village we continue on to Lake Manyara doing a GAME DRIVE en route.

Day 15 Lake Manyara
  We'll enjoy morning and afternoon GAME DRIVES at Lake Manyara, searching for rare tree-climbing lions.

 Enjoy a mid-day duplicate with our group at the hotel. Don't be distracted by the view.
Day 16 Manyara / Ngorongoro
  Drive to Ngorongoro Crater, the largest unflooded caldera in the world where we'll stay on the crater's edge for two nights.

 While discussing our plans for tomorrow we'll enjoy a session of duplicate.

Serengeti Lodge dining room
On our GAME DRIVE, we'll descend to the crater's floor to find the densest predator population in Africa. Relax as our guides prepare lunch, and it's off again in search of more wildlife.

Day 18 Ngorongoro / Serengeti
  After a visit to Louis Leakey's Olduvai Gorge, we're off to the Serengeti plains, making a GAME DRIVE en route to our lodge.

 Optional Balloon Safari - just before dawn on the Serengeti Plains.
Day 19 Serengeti
