The Maritime Provinces provide colonial settlements, quaint fishing villages, ancient Indian camps, picturesque coves, dramatic rocky coastlines, rolling green hills, and cities with friendly people. While tracing Canadian beginnings, we will be honored guests at cozy bridge clubs in all three provinces and experience the brilliant red, orange and yellow colors that abound in autumn.

Tour Schedule
Day 1 U.S.A./Halifax
  Fly from your hometown to Halifax. This evening, enjoy a special "Welcome Dinner" with Fred Theurkauf at our hotel.

Day 2 Halifax
  Today this historic port city will charm us as we tour Citadel Hill, Public Gardens, St. Paul's church, and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. This afternoon is free.

 Tonight we join the bridge players of Halifax for dinner and bridge.
Day 3 Halifax
  This morning we will visit picturesque Peggy's Cove, UNESCO World Heritage Town, and the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic.

Day 4 Halifax/Cape Breton
  Departing along the Marine Drive, our stops will include the Fisherman's Life Museum and Sherbrooke Village. Finally, we cross the Canso Strait to Cape Breton.

 Our favorite director, Fishy Fred, invites you to play bridge just with our group.
Day 5 Cape Breton
 


Enjoy breathtaking autumn scenery.
We will journey on The Cabot Trail, ascending to Highlands National Park. The views are breathtaking and we'll have a delightful picnic lunch. A traditional "New Scotland" dinner awaits us tonight.

Day 6 Cape Breton/Antigonish
  This morning we'll tour the Alexander Graham Bell Museum and once again travel over the Canso Strait to Antigonish.
Meal(s): Breakfast, Dinner

 Tonight the bridge players of Antigonish join us for dinner and duplicate bridge.
Day 7 Antigonish/Charlottetown
  Traveling the Sunrise Trail to Pictou, we'll stop for lunch and visit the Hector Heritage Quay. Then, we'll ferry to Prince Edward Island.

 Tonight we play in Anne's Land – dinner and bridge with the players of Charlottetown.
Day 8 Charlottetown/Summerside
  After a seal and mussel cruise, we'll tour the city of Charlottetown, the birthplace of Canada. This afternoon is free.

Day 9 Summerside
  Today we will visit P.E.I. National Park, the Green Gables House, and Silverbush Museum. Tonight, enjoy a traditional lobster feast.

Day 10 Summerside/Saint John
  Crossing over Confederation Bridge to New Brunswick we drive to Hopewell Rocks in Fundy Ntn'l Park. On to Saint John.
Meal(s): Breakfast, Dinner

 This evening we're guests of the Saint John players for duplicate bridge and dinner.
Day 11 Saint John/St.Andrews by the Sea
  This morning we visit the Loyalist Burial Ground, City Market and Reversing Falls. On to Saint Andrews by the Sea for dinner and lodging at the Algonquin Resort.

 Bridge tonight - with our own group at the Algonquin Resort.
Day 12 St. Andrews by the Sea
  Search for 15 kinds of whales on a whale watching and island cruise through the Bay of Fundy. This afternoon is free.

Day 13 St. Andrews by the Sea/Digby

After free time for lunch and shopping in Saint John, we board our ferry crossing the Bay of Fundy to Digby, Nova Scotia.

 We'll join together this morning for our last session of bridge- just with our group.
Day 14 Digby/Halifax
  After a brief tour of Digby, we'll explore the Evangeline Trail where we'll visit Annapolis Royal, Fort Anne and Grand Pre. Tonight's Farewell Dinner will be a grand finale.

Day 15 Halifax/Home
  After breakfast, transfer to Halifax International Airport for your flight home.
